Unofficially a blog that's been shut down, you might still find the occasional post here where I mention something about exercise, rant/comment on life, or post my amateur third-person poetry.

Having some Balti as I type this – mmmm. It’s another easy dish I can manage. Prepare meat and other veg, then stir in the sauce!

Quick recap – Saturday was Kate’s gig in Harpenden. No training. On Sunday I went to Regents Park to recce the 10K route I’ve seen run by the Mornington Chasers. Along the way I stopped to feed the ducks there with chocolate. Ducks can walk on land, swim and fly – no doubt triathletes in their own right!

Today was forecast to be rainy and cold after a bright start. Well, I think they got it wrong. I was pleased to squeeze in a run after work. 6.6km (just over 4 miles) in 32:45, at an eight minute per mile pace. Fair enough. I was surprised to manage that pace for that duration, which is – at the moment – challenging for me. Maybe it had something to do with the 5 donuts in the staff room I had over the course of the day. Hmm.

Today also happens to be the last day of term at the school, so I won’t have to go in Friday. Yippee! Even though I haven’t had a taxing term or anything like that, I’m looking forward to having more free time anyhow.
