Unofficially a blog that's been shut down, you might still find the occasional post here where I mention something about exercise, rant/comment on life, or post my amateur third-person poetry.

Howdy, long time no blog

Back from holidays, a day early ... with plenty of pictures and videos after a trip to the New Forest and then up north to visit my in-laws. More to follow in the next couple of days, but here's a couple from the New Forest.

And from what seems like eons ago, here's some stuff from our summer school show. These were the two items my group put up.

Context: Three aliens arrive on Earth and find it empty. Luckily, they saw a computer ... and viewed some YouTube videos, to know what life on earth was like.

I'm really proud of the four girls in the next video. They got on really well, worked largely unsupervised, did all the choreographing, and edited the script in places they thought it was rubbish (pig ego - "Ouch!"). They were every teacher's dream. And everyone loved the acting.

Context: During the Cold War, Barbara, wife of the astronaut Eugene, is unhappy that he values his job more than his family. She sees a psychiatrist, actually a spy who feeds information to the Soviet Union, and who has secretly contacted Eugene in the hope of drawing even more information out of him to pass on to his handlers. But it all comes to a crazy crescendo. Obviously a fair degree of creative pig licence has been taken in this play with real-life characters and events do not actually reflect what actually happened. And we couldn't get boys to play Eugene and Yuri. But who cares? Disclaimer done - enjoy.

Holiday pics and videos to follow. Hope all is well with everyone else in the blogosphere.
