Quick Update
Sunday run with Wifey for 20 minutes. Then I did pressups and an assortment of upper body exercises. I crunched - despite the feeling of pulling my neck on every few reps. I like the plank, but feel crunches work the abs better. Mine, anyway.
Ran 3 miles under 8mins/mile pace today, then did more abs and weights. Summer school is nearly over - just two more days to go! School restarts on this end of the pond in two weeks, which leaves us with enough time to visit the in-laws and other family. My little nephew will have grown! I intend to do more running this week, and then focus more on stretching and weights when we're visiting - curl the suitcase and all.
From a financial point of view, it's always good that school is starting again soon. I look forward to getting my timetable, doing my hours, going through another year of trying to fit running around my work. Looking back, I'm fairly pleased with how the year's turned out. This time last year I was hoping to run consistently, and set a few PRs over the course of the year... I had a few PRs when the weather was colder, but I didn't really build on that, so maybe that's something to work on this time. I'm not sure when (or if!) I hit the 100-run mark - anyone want to trawl the archives and do the donkey work?
Wifey and I went on the rowing machines at the hotel gym when we went away for our anniversary and I've got to say, I'm hooked. I don't know if I'll get one - I do like to exercise in front of the TV and in the warmth of the house (especially during winter) but don't know if I'll ever use it enough.
That's all for now - happy running!

Back to school time already...boy how time flies!
TriAl (qcmier) ate a ham sandwich during his half iron on Sunday. I told him that I don't think that will go over very well with you.

Rowing, huh? I used to do that at the gym, but I was only good for 10 minutes before I got bored. There wasn't any TV though, so maybe that would have helped.
It's always nice to get back to the regular work schedule. Enjoy your two weeks off!
