Unofficially a blog that's been shut down, you might still find the occasional post here where I mention something about exercise, rant/comment on life, or post my amateur third-person poetry.

While I'm at this, can I wipe your bottom for you?

One of my students is doing a Grade 2 Piano exam in December. He was supposed to have done one in May, but that was deferred.

On the previous occasion I gave him a registration form to take home for his mother's signature. He came back saying he'd lost that form, so I gave him another. As it was already near the closing date for entries, I told him to make sure it got signed and sent off within the next day or so. Form #2 came back to me a few days after the closing date, because neither this boy nor his mother could bother to put a stamp on the envelope and put it in the mailbox.

Man adapts, right?

To register for this exam in December, I gave him the registration form AND a stamped envelope. Practically everything was done - all he had to do was get Mother to sign it and drop it in the post box, which he'd confidently announced was in front of his house.

The envelope is passed back to me today.

You want to know what motivates me when I run?
