Another one done
4 miles this morning. I ran the all-too-familiar loop in 12:00, then ran the rest of the distance in under 8 mins/mile. I accidentally stopped the timer after the first lap, so no lap times, which is actually better - no pressure to meet the splits on a day I had no intention of doing so. I just wanted to run more than the usual two laps, and but at least have a fairly fast lap.
It's fast approaching my least favourite time of year. It gets dark by 7 in the evening, and we will progressively lose light by two or three minutes on both ends of the day until Dec 21, the shortest day of the year. By that time, with clock adjustments, day will start to fade at around 3:30, and it'll start to get cold as well. Oh well, I suppose it's a trade-off for the longer days in Summer, although sometimes I wish things were more regular. Can't have it all your way, I suppose. I don't like running when it's dark, so I'll have to do more indoor training. HSKT, anyone?
More weights this afternoon, and this week's 3 runs will mainly be around 4 miles each, with one fast loop. I'm still on this routine of running relatively faster laps, and progressively increasing the distance while maintaining the speed, rather than running long, for a change.
Happy running!

i rather like running without the watch. if i ran as fast as you do, it would make my hair grow.
i wish they had a race that started at 5-5:30am because that's when i run. in the ouiet dark.

I wish they would get rid of daylight savings time. It's pretty useless anymore if you think about it. BUT I will take darkness over blinding sunlight and humidity any day of the week.
enjoy your loops

I am like Susan, I like running in the dark. Gives me a sense of peace and quiet. But I am glad your still working out!

It's nice to run without the watch and pressure that it brings from time to time. I don't like losing light either, but I do like the change in seasons.

I like running only in the dark of early morning, and come home when it still dark, and slide into bed after shower - and it still dark.
:)
