Unofficially a blog that's been shut down, you might still find the occasional post here where I mention something about exercise, rant/comment on life, or post my amateur third-person poetry.

Job Rant

Three days a week my work takes me to a different city, where the door to door journey, mainly by train, takes between 1.75 to 2 hours. Well, today it took me an f-ing 3.5 hours to get there, and 3 to get back. That's 6.5 hours spent travelling. If you were religious you might - considering my mental debates of the past few days - treat this as a "sign" to give up whatever I'm doing, career-wise and start over again. The after-work run initally pencilled in for today is not happening.

I might as well rename my blog to Seatbound and Travelling. I repeat the damn journey again tomorrow.

How about doing some butt squeezes on the train?!?!? Just a thought...

I'm so sorry! That would frustrate me, too.

I don't recommend squeezing butts on the train (that could get you in trouble!), but you might be able to fit in some glute contractions! ;)

Yes, I was serious...but perhaps I should have said "glute contractions" as Zara stated. Contracting muscles might help pass the time...or books on tape...how 'bout a nap... Just some suggestions to help ease the time spent on the train... :-)

I would be ranting too if I had to travel that far in a day, but I could catch up on a lot of reading with that much time. I have running magazines stacking up on me, but textbooks that keep getting opened instead.

Find a good book and unfortunately not much else you can do. It sucks to get stuck when you travel like that.
