Unofficially a blog that's been shut down, you might still find the occasional post here where I mention something about exercise, rant/comment on life, or post my amateur third-person poetry.

This pressup exercise works quite well for me. For each rep, take 2 seconds each on the concentric and eccentric phase. I did four sets of these to failure (15-20 reps), and the post-workout effect was equivalent to doing 300+ pressups, but without the joint aches. It might mean that this style of pressups works the muscle well. Of course, it might really mean that I'm weak, and might have to sign up for bootcamp via webcam.

Ran 10K this morning, seeing as school's finally finished for me. It took a long 2.5 miles to feel warmed up - even with my hat! I hit 5K at 22:00, then 5 miles at 37:30. There was next to nothing in the tank after that, and I finished feeling dehydrated and thirsty. I suppose I should be pleased, particularly with the 5K time, but I'm not, really. I did the 10K too much like a fartlek - almost all out for a bit, then either slowing down or stopping to take a break, then repeating. Not a comfortable feeling at all. I would have preferred a more even pace, and so, to me, it seemed a disappointing 10K in 47:30. Oh well.
