20 minutes on the stepper tonight. It was all out for almost all the way. I couldn't be bothered to observe the watch and do 45/15s. That's #40 out of the way! This last set of 10 - #30 to #40 - has definitely been the hardest, for some reason. I'm glad it's out of the way, and I'm relieved to be able to move on to the next few. I don't expect that I will hit #50 before we go on holiday, but #45 would be nice. To reach #70 - #80 before May rolls in and proper running weather re-emerges would be good too.
Sorry this is so terse, but work really is calling!

Jen: In previous years I did weights, but little cardio, over the winter, but when spring/summer rolled in I was still able to get back into running and surprise myself with a few results that were achieved on little training. This year I thought rather than just hibernate I'd set myself the aim of trying to complete 50 cardio sessions and see how long it would take me to do them, just to have something to aim for over the "crappier" winter months. (I was going to say "100", but thought I'd be a bit conservative.) So far all's going well, and reading other people's blogs and finding out what they're doing is really inspiring. I, for one, would never have dreamt of going out running in temperatures of below 50F (weenie, I know) but so many people do it as a matter of course that I'm gradually changing my perspectives.
Richard: Hope the knee's getting better. 5.5 miles in 52:01 - you'll be ready for the Cowtown half when it arrives!
Susan: I eagerly await your creative brainwaves. Where do you get the time to do these headers? Are you slacking at work?
