Just a quick one
I've been busy with work, and for the past two days when I've completed the things I set out to do, the rain has interfered. I could go running in the morning, but I don't like the idea of tiring myself out before the teaching day starts. As any educator might tell you, you'll need as much of your energies as you can spare to handle a class of students. Especially one with diverse language needs, and of a large age range (10-16). The little ones go "Teacher, teacher, please help" while the older ones smirk and think "Childish", or a little one with good language skills pipes up incessantly while an older one of lower ability sits silently and sulks, and you have to help and motivate them without making them feel inferior to the little one - that sort of thing.
I'm off the no-run bandwagon. Did 4.5km in under 21 minutes today. Nothing spectacular but at least it puts the 10+ day streak of no running to an end. And if I work harder at completing my work over the next few days, I'll earn myself a few free afternoons to run.
The school I'm at has a gazillion steps. My classroom is on the fourth floor, and by the time I get there I half expect to see Rapunzel with her braids hanging out the window.
Adios. Happy running!

running the stairs. now there's a workout for you! i get the feeling that everything around the house is settled, mostly.
you're the right person for the job of bringing music to those people; all of them, at all the places you rush to teach them.

Good run buddy! I always have to do the conversion from K to miles when calculating your time.
Let me know if you do see Rapunzel. She is cute! LOL

Wow--10 to 16 in one room? AND with diverse language needs? You are SuperPig.
Way to get that run in!

Nice to hear you were able to get a run in. I know what you mean about needing all your energy for those kiddos. I am trying to run as much as possible right now before they suck all the energy out of me in September.
