Can't remember exactly what has happened in the past week on a day by day basis. I went back to Bedford for a couple of days, tidied up the place there, and spent some time preparing lesson materials for my two new piano students, as well as the class of 25 students I'm going to teach on the 6th of March. The little girl of 5 and a half has little piano experience, but I was pleased that I managed to teach her a skeleton version of a Will Young song in 20 minutes. Her parents were pleased too; pleased enough to sign her up immediately for ten lessons. The lady downstairs (little piano experience) could play a Tori Amos song after about 35 minutes. One of the good things about teaching piano at the moment is that one of my students lives downstairs, and the other a 5 minute walk away.
Did a bit of pressups and weights, but I still feel it's too cold for me to run. After the last time I ran in the cold (three sessions) I had a bad cold for ten days. If it sounds like I'm making excuses I probably am, but I hate the cold too much to go out running when it's less that 12 degrees Celsius. I wonder how everyone else does it!
With my pressups I'm focussing on quality than quantity. I find that if I do my pressups in the same manner I do a bench press, I get to about 15 - 20 reps, but definitely more results than when I used to do 50 at a go at a quick pace.
Got lots of music stuff to prepare so I'll be off now and blog more fully later on.
